They have some ridiculous spotlights above them which makes it very difficult to see as the lighting is bad. The number of players I saw missing simple half ball cuts was crazy, simply because you couldnt focus on the edge of a ball when playing through the shadows. Two tables had the middle spotlight missing and a couple have lights that point away from the table !

Luckily I had my second match on one of the better lit areas so I got a good view of Sean Watson dishing me up two frames in a row.

Thats really no good at all is it.. The problem I have at the bell (apart from the slightly honeypotty lighting) is you never quite know how hard to hit it. one minute a slow roll rolls off and u give two, so you hit the next one a bit harder and it looks like you clobbered it.. ah well, a bargain at £1.20 a pop(!)

being beaten by someone who dishes you twice is some comfort at least it wasnt the rubbish tables to blame. well done sean.

Please find details of all players who made it through to the next round of the singles after matches played last Monday. Attached is a copy of the Draw for the last 16 and then the last 8 of the singles competition.

All matches will be played at Racks this Monday and if everyone could try to get there for 7.30 it would be a great help so that we can get the games started earlier.

John Molley v Mick Worsfield
Vinny Cuva v Ron Mckie
Keiron Faulk v Josh Bostock
James Harness v Ankur Nangpal
Steve Adams v Brad Robinson
Ed Cuffe Adams v Sean Watson
Chris Fawcett v Trevor Dias
Jez Hill v Craig Wilson

LAST 8 DRAW - Also to be played on Monday 18th MAY

Ed Cuffe Adams/ Sean Watson v Chris Fawcett / Trevor Dias
Keiron Faulk / Josh Bostock v Vinny Cuva / Ron Mckie
James Harness / Ankur Nangpal v Jez Hill / Craig Wilson
John Molley / Mick Worsfiled v Steve Adams / Brad Robinson

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dont tell me "the most hated man in pool" Brad Robinson has got a bye ! For gods sake !
