This years doubles competition opening rounds are to be played on the 06th April

The registration form were sent out last week, if you haven't received this you can find them on the Maidenhead Website under the downloads section. The date for registration forms and entry fees to be handed in is 29th or 30th March either to Terry or Steve at Racks.

Terry will be there on the 29th and Steve will be there on the 30th. Any registrations not received by the 30th will not be included in the draw so please ensure someone is available to hand these in.

People ,

whats the rules on the Scotch Doubles in relation to talking between shots ??

I presume once the first player has touched the table there is no talking between that player and their partner until the teams 'turn' is over. In other words ,you cant pot a ball then discuss with your partner what you want them to do.

When is the next round of the doubles being drawn ?
How many rounds are we playing ?
Is it best of 7 ?
Are we using two venues still ?
Were the tables in the Bell any good ?

Oh yeah and I forgot , can we have a "no holding hands between shots" rule for Ray and Andy. Its very off putting.

All best of 7 (as Semi last year was best of 9 - and final best of 11)

RACKS

(1) Walls & Cameron v Nangpal & Tushingham
(2) Wheeler & Cuffe-Adams v Dingley & Carmichael
(3) Nunn & Flood v Oliver & McKie
(4) Keohane & Hibberd v Henwood & Copeland

THE BELL

(1) Robinson & Wilson v Burke & Colinsblake
(2) Wootton & Brant v Cuva & Summers
(3) Walton & Fawcett v Molley & Uzzell
(4) Baxter & Newell v Stanmore & Richbell

At both Venues the winners of each game will go on to play

Winner of 3 v Winner of 1
Winner of 4 v Winner of 2
-------------------------------

Some good ties in there , the all-Thatched Cottage clash of W&F v M&U at the bell and the winners getting probably 'the most hated man in pool' and Craig Wilson.

An all racks tie between Vic/Vinny and defending ladies champions Ray and Andos
